22 year-old Ksenia Podsevatkina, a BBA student at European University in Montreux, represented her native Russia at the Miss Earth Beauty Pageant in Manila, The Philippines.
The Miss Earth competition was launched in 2001 as a glamour event with a difference, whose raison d'être is to have its candidates and winners actively promote and become involved in the preservation of the environment. In line with the Miss Earth philosophy, EU recently increased recycling quotas and is reducing paper use on-campus in its quest for the green classroom. Courses in Green Management are among scheduled additions to the MBA syllabus.
