Dual BBA and MBA with Nichols College Boston

President of European University, Dr. Dirk Craen, and President of Nichols College, Dr. Debra Townsley, signed undergraduate and graduate dual-degree agreements to formalize their educational relationship in an effort to advance cooperation between the two universities and to enhance higher education in Europe and the United States.
The agreements establish the conditions of dual-degree programs that are to be launched in October 2007. European University (EU) Europe and Nichols College (NC) Boston will introduce newly admitted students to a unique EU - NC undergraduate BBA and BA/BS dual-degree program. Students who participate in the program will graduate with two degrees in their chosen field of business and management. In addition, the dual-MBA and dual MA/MS agreement allows students to obtain two Master’s degrees in only 3 terms. As part of this cooperation, EU will launch a new Cross MBA program together with NC involving US faculty flying over to Europe to provide lectures and seminars to executives from leading European companies on EU campuses.
President Craen commended the leadership of Nichols College’s President Dr. Townsley and the efforts of NC staff in establishing and promoting the program. In approving the agreement, Dr. Craen also highlighted that internationalization constitutes an important part of the EU long-term globalization strategy. EU President stressed that the newly-established relationship with Nichols College represents an important positive step in building cross-cultural understanding between young people across the Atlantic.
Furthermore, Dr. Craen noted that the globalization of business, which is reflected in the EU curriculum, is matched by the globalization of EU’s network of campuses. Thus, European University provides its students with the opportunity to develop cultural sensitivity and cosmopolitan flair crucial in the increasingly globalized world of today. "The new partnership with Nichols College," Dr. Craen remarked, "will further strengthen EU’s global position and better prepare both EU and NC students for tomorrow's world."
