BA - Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Public Relations

Consumers have become active participants of the digital world blurring the line between brand and consumer. A company’s communication and public relations professionals are  key in establishing and maintaining relationships with the target audience. This program will cover various topics such as structuring public relations campaigns, media strategies, organizational communication and ethics, while addressing a wide range of communication and publicity concerns.



Learning Outcomes
 

This program provides students with an academic and professional education that prepares them for positions in public relations, advertising, marketing, communications and management. The public relations curriculum includes courses in publicity, research and negotiation. Through this program, students will:

Gain an understanding of the field of public relations and be able to devise basic communications strategies.

Establish an interdisciplinary knowledge of public relations, advertising, marketing, communications, research, negotiation and management.

Show in-depth knowledge of the major theories of communications and their applicability.

Demonstrate proficient oral and written skills.

 


 


Structure
 

The Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Public Relations is a seven-semester, three-year program with the structure indicated below. Students who have completed this program have the option to take an additional eighth semester and earn a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS).
