Academic Dean for the EU Business School Munich campus, Dr. Begoña González Otero, has been awarded the highest available distinction to any academic piece of writing in Spain. Dr. González Otero was awarded the Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado en Derecho by the University of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain, for her PhD graded summa cum laude. Her thesis is within the field of Intellectual Property Rights and is titled “The Software Interoperability Debate on European Copyright Law”, she was the only PhD candidate from the university to be awarded the honor.
In addition to this award, Dr. Begoña González Otero is an accomplished academic writer, her paper, Disclosure of Software Information was presented at the 32nd Annual Congress of the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property (ATRIP) and chosen to become a part of the 2015 book: Intellectual Property and General Legal Principles, Is IP a Lex Specialist?
Dr. González Otero, speaks five languages and holds a further degree from the Royal Spanish Gymnastics Federation, is an NSCA-certified personal trainer and also practices Muay Thai.
