We are delighted to announce that Chairman Emeritus of Nestlé, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, is taking part in another EU Business School event as a guest speaker. Brabeck-Letmathe will be visiting Munich on Tuesday, October 10, following his successful talk in Barcelona in March this year. During the event, he will speak about the impact of the food and beverage industry on society, and what role it will play in our future.
Brabeck-Letmathe returns to EU
Brabeck-Letmathe was born in Vienna in 1947 and studied economics at the University of World Trade in Austria. He joined Nestlé in 1968 where he started out as an ice cream salesman for their operating company in Austria. In 1997, he was elected member of the Board of Directors and CEO, a position which he held until 2008. Brabeck-Letmathe is currently the vice chairman of the foundation board of the World Economic Forum. He is also a board member of many companies, such as L’Oréal, Credit Suisse Group, ExxonMobil and Delta Topco Limited (Formula 1). In addition, he has received several awards, such as the Schumpeter Prize for outstanding contribution in disruptive innovation, among others.
You are what you eat
This exciting event comes just a few months after the successful launch of Brabeck-Letmathe’s book, “Nutrition for a Better Life: A Journey from the Origins of Industrial Food Production to Nutrigenomics”. The factual book provides an insight into the past, present and future of food and nutrition. It also explores the role of the food industry in improving the health and well-being of societies around the globe.
The event will include a presentation from Brabeck-Letmathe, a Q&A session and book signing. A cocktail reception will follow, where press, dignitaries and students alike will have the chance to network.
