Last week, EU Online MBA students touched down in Munich for the on-campus week, as part of their full- and part-time programs.
The five-day event was an opportunity for students to meet their fellow online classmates and lecturers in person, as well as participate in various activities that form part of the Online MBA curricula.
The on-campus weeks are important for EU’s online students, who are required to sit the necessary exams, attend guest lectures and receive an insight into real business through organized industrial visits to some of the world’s most prestigious organizations. This year, students enjoyed tours to BMW and the Franziskaner Weissbier Brewery – both hugely successful and iconic companies in the German state of Bavaria.
In addition to their busy daytime itineraries, attendees were also able to sit back, relax and network during the welcome cocktail evening, organized for the first night. On Thursday, guests also had the opportunity to feast on some local Bavarian cuisine at the Zum Franziskaner restaurant, which allowed them to taste some of the region’s most typical dishes.
EU’s highly-reputable Online MBA – which in January was listed as number one in CEO Magazine’s 2015 global online rankings – effectively mirrors the on-campus program, yet there are certain experiences that can’t be attained through online learning. By having these on-campus weeks, three times a year, EU’s online students receive the highly-valuable exposure and hands-on experience necessary to compete in the real business world.
