The event proved to be an even bigger success than last year,\u00a0with students\u00a0arriving early and in large numbers. In fact, several companies have already contacted candidates for follow-up interviews and internship offers.\u00a0<strong>Hotel Arts Barcelona<\/strong>, for example,\u00a0have offered an internship to five EU students.<\/p>\n<h3>In good company<\/h3>\n<p>Organized by Head of Business Development Anna Wlodek and Careers Advisor Laurie Le Dentu, EU welcomed a number of companies.\u00a0These included: <strong>Accenture, Babel Profiles, Bloomberg, Criteo, Hotel Arts, Nice People At Work, PageGroup, PTC, TransPerfect, TravelClick<\/strong> and <strong>Zurich Insurance<\/strong>. An informal networking session, with coffee and snacks,\u00a0enabled students\u00a0and recruiters to meet and connect in a relaxed way.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-21426\" src=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Careers-fair-3-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>How to get ahead<\/h3>\n<p>The EU Careers Fair aims not only to help connect students and companies but to also provide students with helpful tips on getting their careers on track.\u00a0Presentations\u00a0included<strong> How to Become a Star Employee and Get the Most Out of Your Job<\/strong>, moderated by Santiago Garc\u00eda, founder of <strong>Future of Work Institute.<\/strong> The panel\u00a0was made up of:\u00a0Alberto Platz, vice president of global talent acquisition &amp; engagement at <strong>Swarovski<\/strong>; Susy Bobenrieth, former vice president of HR Latin America at <strong>Nike<\/strong>; Thomas Nivol, staffing manager EMEA at<strong> Criteo<\/strong>; and finally,\u00a0Paula Mariani, UX director at <strong>Schibsted Spain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, the<strong> Gasol Foundation<\/strong>, founded by <strong>NBA All-Stars Pau and Marc Gasol<\/strong> to help combat childhood obesity, held a presentation on <strong>The Social Side of Sports Management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-21436\" src=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/17760920_858556057633187_2270812096676954355_o-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Shared insights<\/h3>\n<p>In the afternoon,\u00a0several\u00a0EU alumni,\u00a0now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/startup-entrepreneur\/\">successful entrepreneurs<\/a>, shared their knowledge and EU experiences.\u00a0Managing partner at <strong>Headway Executive Search<\/strong>, V\u00edctor Carulla, began by giving insights from <strong>Inside the Selection Process<\/strong>. The event then came to a close with a presentation by three EU alumni who shared their entrepreneurial knowhow.
