Consequently, they&#8217;ve become the go-to source for everything related to online learning.<\/p>\n<h2>Trend setters<\/h2>\n<p>According to a recent study by the OLC, over 6 million students are now enrolled in distance education. It&#8217;s clear this is no passing fad. With this in mind,\u00a0to discover more, EU Business School\u2019s Instructional Designer and faculty member\u00a0Txell Llorach attended the OLC\u2019s Innovate Conference. As one of the most renowned online\u00a0education conferences,\u00a0it gives\u00a0attendees a chance to learn, share, collaborate\u00a0and, above all,\u00a0gain an insight into cutting edge technology.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-21757\" src=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-5-4-17-13-08-24-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With over 450 speakers and\u00a0around 2,000 attendees (including 750 virtual attendees)\u00a0from 18 different countries, the conference revealed the new tendencies for this\u00a0year and beyond. These included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customization<\/li>\n<li>Feedback<\/li>\n<li>E-books<\/li>\n<li>Remote proctoring<\/li>\n<li>Security<\/li>\n<li>Storage resources<\/li>\n<li>Video conferencing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Virtual revolution<\/h2>\n<p>The number of students completing an online program increases year-on-year. More than one in four students \u2013 29.7% \u2013 now takes at least one distance education course.\u00a0So, clearly a good\u00a0reason to stay on top of the latest e-learning technology.\u00a0By staying at the forefront of advances in\u00a0technology, we continue to\u00a0evolve.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to EU\u2019s participation in this conference, our online students will have the opportunity to discover new tools and methods. Each year, EU Business School attends at least two OLC events and, once again, we were among the few educational institutions representing Europe.
