However, Bitcoin proponents and naysayers agree on one\nthing. Blockchain technology itself is here to stay \u2014 irrespective of anyone\u2019s\nopinion of cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Future of Work is Blockchain Technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not mere speculation. Blockchain technology is already redefining the future of digital technology. At present, it is redefining how we store sensitive data and manage, track changes and amend important financial records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In\nDubai, UAE government officials have already passed a mandate to store all land\nregistry data on a proprietary blockchain. Similar moves are also afoot in\nMalta and Georgia. However, it\u2019s not just land registry information that is\nmoving to the blockchain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mainstream Blockchain Technology Use Cases<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/the-blockchain-express\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"blockchain industry (opens in a new tab)\">blockchain industry<\/a> innovators like IBM, blockchain technology is already being used across several different industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Recently, IBM partnered with\nMassachusetts firm Raw Seafoods, Inc. to start using blockchain tech to improve\nfood safety.<\/li><li>An IBM and Maersk shipping and freight\nblockchain platform called TradeLens, is already being used to optimize\ninternational freight logistics.<\/li><li>Higher education institutions in the\nRepublic of Georgia are already using a proprietary blockchain called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/rachelwolfson\/2019\/04\/30\/cardano-founder-launches-enterprise-blockchain-framework-in-collaboration-with-ethiopian-government\/#409812764e10\">Atala<\/a> to\nverify student academic qualifications.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blockchain\ntechnology is also making waves in the automotive industry and is considered\nintegral to the development of next-generation digital identity systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blockchain Technology and the Future of Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rapid adoption of blockchain technology worldwide is giving rise to a booming blockchain developer job market. However, incorporating blockchain technology into emerging Industry 4.0 technologies requires more than just blockchain development expertise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/blockchain-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"blockchain management mba\" class=\"wp-image-27311\" width=\"822\" height=\"547\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As well\nas businesses being able to hire people who can build blockchains, businesses\nalso need to be able to hire consultants and managers. Namely, people who can\noversee the development and correct implementation of new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Governments and businesses are\nincreasingly looking to hire qualified blockchain technology consultants.<\/li><li>Implementations of blockchains used to\nmanage sensitive legal, financial, and personal data, need to be guided by\nqualified legal personnel.<\/li><li>Project managers are often required to\noversee the development and deployment of new blockchain technology systems.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">High Future Earning Potential<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For\nstudents considering a career in blockchain technology, one question is of\ncritical importance. Namely, what do future rates of pay and employee benefits\nlook like? Thankfully, a few preliminary indicators are already available.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While\nstill an emerging industry, a career in blockchain development, management and\nconsulting promises to be a lucrative one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2018,\n<a href=\"https:\/\/bigthink.com\/technology-innovation\/blockchain-jobs-are-booming?rebelltitem=2#rebelltitem2\">Glassdoor<\/a> found\nthat blockchain industry positions vacant were up 300% on figures from 2017.\nStarting salaries for blockchain developers and consultants were also found to\nbe US$32,000 higher than median starting salaries across other industries.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are you considering a career in blockchain technology?
