Compelling communicators make strong <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euruni.edu\/blog\/generation-z-adressing-leadership-challenges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"business leaders who can rally their teams (opens in a new tab)\">business leaders who can rally their teams<\/a>, successfully pitch new product ideas, build trust and navigate uncertainty. <strong>Effective communicators are assets to the business.<\/strong> They can command a presence, get buy-in, connect across remote teams of differing cultures, and deliver and process feedback \u2013 good or bad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Communication skills should not be\nunder-valued. How you communicate and present yourself will distinguish you,\nboth in the hiring process and as you advance in your career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">One Style Does Not Fit\nAll<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are generally four or five\nfundamental communication styles in the workplace and a variety of assessment\ntests available to best determine the style that matches your own. Provide background and context to answer\n\u201cwhy\u201d enables a comprehensive understanding of the message that you are trying\nto convey.<\/li><li>Keep it simple. Don\u2019t\nuse jargon. Using complex language does not equate to authority. Especially in\ndiverse workplaces, clear and concise language reduces the chance of being\nmisunderstood.<\/li><li>Repeat and reinforce. If\nyou\u2019re lucky, the message will be conveyed successfully the first time around.
