Germany quickly became her top choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wanted to study in Europe in a place where I could also continue growing within technology and engineering-driven industries,\u201d she says. \u201cGermany offers strong opportunities in these fields and a very dynamic international environment.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich, in particular, stood out for its balance between career prospects and quality of life. \u201cMunich is not only one of the best cities to live in Germany,\u201d Lucero explains, \u201cbut also a place where you can find opportunities in both global corporations and innovative smaller companies. That diversity really makes a difference.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learning from Real Industry Experience<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When Lucero began searching for an MBA, she wanted more than theory; she was looking for a program that would connect her to the European business world<\/strong> and provide practical insights from experienced professionals. <\/p>\n\n\n

Like many MBA students, Lucero had to learn how to balance her studies with professional responsibilities. Managing both at the same time required discipline, organization and determination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt first, it was quite challenging,\u201d she admits. \u201cThere was a lot of reading and assignments, and I was also working.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, this combination also brought advantages. Many of the concepts she learned in class could be applied directly to situations she encountered at work<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also realized that the lessons and guidance from her classes gave her the tools she needed to tackle challenges at work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy lecturers were always willing to listen when I had challenges at work, and they often gave helpful ideas,\u201d she says. \u201cThat support made a big difference<\/strong>.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building Confidence in an International Environment<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the most valuable aspects of Lucero\u2019s MBA experience was studying alongside classmates from many different countries<\/a>. Working in multicultural teams helped her develop skills essential in international companies today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe MBA helped me gain confidence working in English and collaborating with international teams,\u201d she says. \u201cThe constant exchange of ideas and real case discussions really prepared me to navigate complex, real-life situations.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today she works with colleagues from Europe, India and China. Being part of such a diverse team requires understanding different perspectives and communication styles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt first, it was exciting yet challenging, as everyone thinks differently,\u201d she explains. \u201cOver time, we learned to collaborate and understand each other better.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This experience has helped her feel comfortable working in a truly global environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Networking That Opens Career Opportunities<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the classroom, networking opportunities at EU Business School<\/a> also played an important role in her journey. Events such as immersion weeks, conferences and company visits allowed her to meet professionals from leading global organizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy favorite experience was the immersion week,\u201d she says. \u201cWe attended conferences with companies like Siemens and Allianz, and I connected with professionals working at companies such as Microsoft and Airbus.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These connections helped her better understand the German job market and expand her professional network. She also received guidance from the school\u2019s career support team when preparing for job interviews<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne advisor helped me understand how interviews work in Germany,\u201d Lucero recalls. \u201cShe explained that employers often want candidates to talk about measurable results and numbers when describing their achievements.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucero worked in human resources in Munich, holding a work permit as a highly qualified professional in Germany. She focused on campus hiring for technical roles<\/strong> while supporting full-cycle recruitment processes, gaining hands-on experience in sourcing, screening, interviews, and candidate engagement. She believes her international MBA was key during this stage of her career, helping her build the confidence and skills needed to succeed in an international and multicultural work environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her advice for prospective students is simple. Plan ahead, stay open to new cultures and build connections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also recommends learning German before arriving, as knowing the local language can open even more opportunities, even though many companies operate in English. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Life-Changing Decision<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Moving to Germany meant leaving behind family, friends and a stable job in Peru. It was a big decision and a major personal challenge. But for Lucero, the experience has been worth it. \u201cWhen I moved to Germany, I left my comfort zone completely,\u201d she says. \u201cBut I achieved the goals I set for myself.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
