EU Barcelona’s MBA Students Get to Know Each Other in Style

4.4/5 - (7 votes)

On Friday, January 12, EU Barcelona’s new and returning MBA students headed to Nubar, a stylish bar with quirky decor and intimate atmosphere located on Passeig de Gràcia, for their official welcome drinks and to kick-start the new academic year. This was a fantastic opportunity to mingle, meet some members of staff and get to know their fellow classmates. According to our sources, a great night was had by all!

A night of new friends and fun at Nubar

Students from all over the world came together at Barcelona’s trendy Nubar

The evening kicked off at 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, students were given a complimentary drink ticket (gin and tonic seemed to be the drink of the night) and gathered around the elegant space in groups. With lively music playing, lots of chatter and a feel of excitement in the air, the evening was in full swing in no time. After a good few hours of chatting and dancing, the students moved on to Sutton, one of Barcelona’s most exclusive clubs, to carry on the party.

Students enjoyed getting the chance to mingle outside of school

We all know that meeting new people and making friends can be daunting, especially when you’re in a new country. However, all students who attended were warm, welcoming and made a big effort to get to know each other. EU’s social media manager Lisa Sedlmayr, who attended the event, was thrilled to see students mixing together so well:

It was great seeing our students having fun and becoming so close in such a short space of time. They’re already like a little family away from home! I know everyone is excited for all the events to come throughout the year.

Gin and tonics all round!
