EU Business School will be a partner of the 2017 Les Rendez-Vous de Gstaad to be held at the five-star Gstaad Palace Hotel in Switzerland. Other partners of the event include Ernst & Young, Securitas, Vaudoise and Groupe Grisoni, among others. The conference, taking place on March 8, is organized in part by EU board of trustee and former mayor of Yvorne, Philippe Gex and EU Group president, Dr. Dirk Craen. Dr. Craen has been involved since the event’s inception and is excited to take part once again.

The 2017 Les Rendez-Vous de Gstaad, which has increased in popularity every year, will be focused on the question “Can we be realistic and happy at the same time?” The pursuit of happiness is thought to be inherent in human beings, even though its measure and manifestation varies between individuals. But if happiness relies upon turning dreams into reality, what about those who cannot realize their wildest hopes and dreams? This subject will be explored by an impressive list of guest speakers. Among those confirmed are; Christoph Franz, chairman of the board of directors at Roche and former CEO of Lufthansa; and Luc Ferry, prominent French philosopher.

The stage is set for an evening of compelling discussion.

Previous topics included the destiny of Switzerland, media and the strategic management of large enterprises and international events in the context of security constraints. Christophe Dubi, director of the Olympic Games at the IOC; Paul Bulcke, CEO of Nestlé; Pascal Lamy, former managing director of the WTO; and Bernard Kouchner, former French minister of foreign affairs have all spoken at events in the past.

The event will begin with a welcome reception, followed by two hours of conferences and debates. The evening will conclude with an aperitif, dinner and networking. The Gstaad Palace Hotel will provide a stunning backdrop for the outstanding list of attendees. The 103-year-old hotel provides the highest standards of luxury, having played host to gala dinners with international celebrities such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman and Marlene Dietrich.
